Valentine’s Day

This year for Valentine’s Day my significant and I cooked dinner together and it turned out to be the best Valentine’s evening ever! Nothing beats the togetherness of a grocery shopping excursion, the playful intimacy of chopping side-by-side while feeding each other little morsels, and the romance of being completely alone in a cozy (bedside) setting! (TMI? Sorry.)

 

Our menu:

  • Pear, gorgonzola and honey bruschetta
  • Caprese salad
  • Creamy yellow polenta
  • Shrimp and scallop fetuccini alfredo

And for dessert, dark chocolate covered strawberries and champagne!

 

I decorated with some candles and flowers, created a playlist of my favorite sappy songs, and the resultant atmosphere was simple yet special. Really, it’s that easy!
