Wedding Season: Part 1 – Sophisticated Beverly Hills Soiree
As the days get warmer, I can feel wedding season approaching fast. I have several nuptials to attend this spring, summer and fall including ones in Beverly Hills, Orange County, New York, Alabama and Singapore.
I’ve imagined up some outfits appropriate to each wedding’s individual mood and setting. The first one up is this Saturday in beautiful Beverly Hills.
This gorgeous sequined Matthew Williamson dress is so dazzling, but the simple cut keeps it classy. It doesn’t need too many accessories, just a few coordinating essentials and I’m good to go. A little bit matchy-matchy, but hey, it’s a wedding, the bridal party is probably wearing color-matched shoes and they match the decor too.
Items in this set:
Chanel, Classic handbag, call to inquire
Kurt Geiger, Hetty Sandal, 59 GBP
Matthew Williamson, Silk-georgette shift dress, $2,595
Barneys New York, Earrings, $3,060
Louvett, Miami Orange Cotton Fabric Watch, $100
But the first outfit is a little flashy and the color palette seems better suited for a daytime wedding. So my second option, this lovely green Elizabeth & James minidress with a low V in the back, is so subtly sexy and perfect for the sophisticated venue. I think I’d go with this one. I’m sure the other outfit will have plenty of chances to shine.
Elizabeth & James, Luna V-back Dress, $375
Prada, Black suede strappy peep toe platform pumps, $555
Lanvin, Happy metallic lambskin-leather bag, $1,975
Fallon, Wild at Heart Earrings, $215
Erie Basin Antiques, 1900s Opal Ring, 10K Gold, $150
